At InsTech London’s 2nd April event which focussed on Insurtech MGAs, Matthew Grant talked to Robert Jeffery, founder and COO of Evari Insure – InsTech London corporate member since January 2019 – about the benefits that come from being both an MGA and providing a service to build technology platforms.
Founded in 2016 in Western Australia, Lloyd’s Coverholder Evari Insure are both MGA and claims platform innovator. Having provided flexible online insurance options to small businesses across Australia, Evari Insure are now opening up the larger markets of Europe and the US. Current clients include online business assistance group Honcho, and Corporate and specialist insurer Tokio Marine Kiln (TMK).
Robert Jeffrey says, “Our business in Australia really serves as a test bed for us to be testing technology and really learning about how dynamic policy should work and the user behaviour in terms of how people interact with those policies. I suppose our core IP is really in the technology, so we have a solution that we can offer out of the box to run MGAs, informed by our own MGA experience.”
