Claims is one of the areas of insurance where there is still massive potential for cost savings (managing fraud and increasing efficiency) and improving the customer experience. A saving of £1 in claims goes straight to the bottom line. Yet there are surprisingly few new companies emerging to offer innovative ways to handle claims across the whole area of Insurtech, and even fewer that address the needs of commercial and commercial specialty insurers.
We brought together eight companies for our Instech London event on 5th March, ranging from the rapidly growing Shift Technology with over 70 insurance clients (and surprisingly modest considering they had announced a series C fund raise the day before) – to very early stage companies. Our scheduled presenters were complemented by a queue of people from the audience taking advantage of the Instech London 60 second “shout out” at the end of the evening.
This was another sell-out event – over 200 people and standing room only in the Steelyard.
